On August 28, the U.S. Justice Department released a 231-page report on the FBI’s 2023 Richmond Catholic memo, including evidence of surveillance of traditionalist Catholic clergy. The FBI investigated two priests and conducted surveillance connected to them. One belonged to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX); the other, his uncle, was associated with SSPX Resistance and had been ordained by Bishop Richard Williamson. Agents researched travel and credit-card records. FBI personnel in Boston surveilled the second priest at the airport, while Customs and Border Protection questioned him and searched his phone. Both investigations were subsequently closed after the FBI found no identified national-security threat and no alleged violation of federal law. Among the exhibits in the DOJ report is an FBI PowerPoint titled “Traditionalist Catholicism Overview” - essentially a rudimentary guide to the various traditionalist Catholic groups and sects. Remarkably, the presentation included …More
The Impeded Papacy The Katechon, the Obstacle to the Legitimate Holder, and the Eclipse of the Petrine Function Introduction — A question more precise than that of the “pope in contradiction with the Papacy” The present crisis compels us to ask a question that goes beyond the simple alternative between “a legitimate but bad pope” and “an empty see.” The problem can be formulated as follows: What if the Papacy, as a perpetual divine institution, remained intact, while its legitimate occupation were prevented by a power that had seized the visible structures of the Church and presented itself to the world as the Church itself? An ecclesiological hypothesis This hypothesis makes it possible to understand the contemporary paradox differently. On the one hand, Catholicism teaches that the Church is a visible, hierarchical society, founded by Our Lord and visibly governed by a head who holds the place of Peter. Pius XII recalled in 1943 that Christ willed a visible Church and that, after His …More
For decades, legend claimed that the pilot who dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima became a Carthusian monk at Serra San Bruno in Calabria. The truth was different. Father Tony Lehmann, a former U.S. soldier, visited Hiroshima after the war and, deeply affected by its devastation, chose to become a “man of peace.” He later joined the Carthusians, living at Serra San Bruno, before becoming a Jesuit devoted to pastoral service. He was no “penitent pilot,” but a witness to Hiroshima who chose peace, prayer and service. Father Tony died of leukemia on March 8, 2002, aged 73.
Jesse Lynn @jesseRoss597206 This is very interesting. Pause to read! The China-Nepal mineral & energy agreement freshly signed in July 2026. lithium, uranium, rare earth elements, iron ore, copper, zinc, limestone, gemstone, industrial & construction minerals. 1 month later an entire region is wiped off the map with 400 dead. Kind of ironic don't ya think. These minerals are foundational inputs for electric vehicles, advanced electronics & artificial intelligence infrastructure. Smdh

German Church Cancels November Synodal Conference as Vatican Delays Approval: The first “Synodal Conference” of the Church in Germany, scheduled to take place in Stuttgart on November 6–7, has been postponed, Domradio reported on August 28. The main reason is that the statutes are still awaiting the necessary recognition from the Vatican. Hotel rooms that had been reserved for the November meeting have been cancelled. The president of the German Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Heiner Wilmer of Hildesheim, had already said in May that, given the ongoing review by several Vatican dicasteries, he no longer expected the Synodal Conference to begin in November.
Gute Nachrichten: Synodalkonferenz der deutschen Kirche für November abgesagt.
Silicon Valley “Neighborhood Masses” Fuse Eucharist and Community Organizing. Worse than Germany: One Saturday a month, Rev. Rick Rodoni, pastor of St. Lucy Parish in the heart of Silicon Valley, celebrates pop-up “Neighborhood Masses.” Posters declare that “everyone is welcome!” The Eucharist is celebrated in a parking area, with a makeshift altar and folding chairs. The liturgy is combined with “community listening sessions.” After the Liturgy of the Word, tables are available for neighbors to express their concerns “during the Mass.”
The Saint Who Refused To Hearken to the Voice of Women On this solemn day of August 29th, as the Church commemorates the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist, the echoes from the dungeon of Machaerus ring louder than ever. We do not honor a man who died for a vague, comfortable ideal; we honor a martyr who shed his blood because he dared to declare a specific, offensive truth to a culture drunk on self-indulgence: It is not lawful for you to have her. The Passion of Saint John is the ultimate warning for our present hour. It lays bare the eternal spiritual battle between the unyielding voice of divine truth and the corrupting spirit of compromise—a spirit fully alive today in the ideology of modern secular feminism. The Tyranny of the Unchecked Will The tragic scene in Herod’s palace is not merely ancient history; it is a masterclass in how Satan operates to subvert God’s order. The Seduction of Autonomy: Herodias refused to submit to the natural and divine law governing marriage. She …More
