An 87-year-old Canadian man was not properly sedated before his life was ended by euthanasia, as he repeatedly cried out “help me” while dying. The man from Ontario, known only as Mr D, had congestive heart failure and met the eligibility criteria to end his life under Canada’s assisted suicide and euthanasia regime, known as Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). Mr D was scheduled to have his life ended at home on the same day he was transferred there from the hospital. The doctor first administered midazolam, a sedative, to relax the patient. However, the drug did not have its usual effects in Mr D’s case. Click Like if you are pro-life to like the LifeNews Facebook page! The case review stated, “During the first three minutes. Mr. D experienced signs of physical and psychological distress, including groaning, guarding (tensing muscles) and grimacing”, adding that “Mr. D did not experience expected sedation”. “His behavioural signs of distress escalated to repeated verbalizations …
– Folha de S. Paulo, January 29, 1981 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira Ivan under the walls of Kazan Polish labor leader Lech Walesa visited John Paul II on January 15. He received the honors of a chief of state. As soon as he arrived, he was received in private by John Paul II in his library. Immediately thereafter, his wife and stepfather were admitted into the room. And finally, his whole retinue. “John Paul II wished to grant Polish labor leader Lech Walesa … the honors which Vatican protocol prescribes for chiefs of state, and which were formerly reserved for sovereigns of the Holy Roman Empire. In fact, with yesterday’s audience, Pope Wojtyla gave Walesa and the ‘Solidarity’ union a true and genuine investiture, along with an indication of the line he should follow when he said that the rise of this union fits into the framework of efforts made in Poland during the weeks of last autumn, which were not against anyone, but were and are exclusively for the common good.” This is …更に表示
[Saint John of the Cross – XVI Century AD; born: Fontiveros, Crown of Castile, Spanish Monarchy/died: Ubeda, Crown of Castile, Spanish Monarchy; (Aged 49); Priest, Mystic, Writer, Doctor of the Church] “BOOK THE FIRST: Wherein is described the nature of dark night and how necessary it is to pass through it to Divine union; and in particular this book describes the dark night of sense, and desire, and the evils which these work in the soul. CHAPTER II ~ Explains the nature of this dark night through which the soul says that it has passed on the road to union. On A Dark Night WE may say that there are three reasons for which this journey made by the soul to union with God is called night. The first has to do with the point from which the soul goes forth, for it has gradually to deprive itself of desire for all the worldly things which it possessed, by denying them to itself; the which denial and deprivation are, as it were, night to all the senses of man. The second reason has to do with …更に表示
"5. These three parts of the night are all one night; but, after the manner of night, it has three parts. For the first part, which is that of sense, is comparable to the beginning of night, the point at which things begin to fade from sight. And the second part, which is faith, is comparable to midnight, which is total darkness. And the third part is like the close of night, which is God, the which part is now near to the light of day."
I found a very interesting article about The Blessed Mother and a Rosary the Russian Orthodox say. I posted another like it before but this actually has the prayers they say to The Blessed Mother. Also it mentions miracles to those who said it. Open unto us the doors of thy loving-kindness, O most blessed Mother of God. As we set our hope in thee, let us not be confounded, but through thee may we be delivered from all adversities. For thou art the salvation of the Christian race.
This was found as I was searching for the most popular devotion of Mary in The Orthodox Church. I found nothing of course. But I saw this one. Which I think was a better find than what I was looking for. Things just fall right into my lap. Better things than what I am looking for.
Don Keith @RealDonKeith Why don’t we see any Muslims girls in the rape statistics? Because it’s a rape jihad targeting non-Muslim girls. Muslim men don’t rape their own because that would be haram — an offense to Allah.
'But you may be asking yourself: “How can the laity save the Church if the men in the Vatican are allowed to trample over the Catholic Faith unchallenged?” The first answer is: We can’t. Only God can save his Church. The second answer is: God wants each one of us to play our parts. Our role as lay people is to defend the truth.'
Fri Jun 12, 2026 - 10:35 am EDTFri Jun 12, 2026 - 1:47 pm EDT (LifeSiteNews) — Dear friends, On September 24, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen will be beatified. Sheen won Emmy Awards, converted American elites, filled Madison Square Garden – and at one point, hosted the most-watched show on television. But what matters most today is what he told the Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus in June 1972. Here’s what he said: Who is going to save the Church? Not our bishops, our priests and religious. It is up to the laity. You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops, and your religious act like religious. That charge has only grown heavier with the decades. If you want to help us in this mission, then please give today: DONATE Sheen’s comment raises an obvious question: save the Church from what? In 1948, Sheen sounded the alarm about a coming “counter-church.” He warned this “Ape …
