The FSSPX makes its annual pilgrimage to Einsiedeln, but its procession remains on public ground. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) makes an annual Rosary pilgrimage to the famous Swiss monastery of Einsiedeln. This year’s pilgrimage takes place on October 10, but the public prayer procession is held only on public ground. Organised by the FSSPX-associated Militia Immaculatae, the procession has been held annually since 2021. Around 750 people participated in 2025. The distinction over where it takes place is significant. The lower part of the square in front of Einsiedeln Abbey, including the Marian fountain and the area up to the monastery arcades, belongs to the District of Einsiedeln and is public property. The upper part belongs to the monastery. The district has authorised the procession on its property. Fr. Philipp Steiner told kath.ch that the abbey had not been asked for permission and had only recently been informed of this year’s event. He stressed that “Einsiedeln …ច្រើន
A Massachusetts family says the state took custody of their teenage daughter. The parents say it happened after they refused to affirm her as a boy, citing their Catholic faith. Joseph and Arlene Kutzko say a counsellor at Algonquin Regional High School socially "transitioned" their daughter Sophie with a male name and pronouns without their knowledge, then reported the family to the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Their attorney, Vernadette Broyles, says an abuse allegation against the father was found unsupported. The state now has guardianship, while a restraining order prevents Sophie’s parents and older brother from contacting her. The family says DCF sought to administer high-dose testosterone, but a judge has temporarily blocked the treatment as they fight the case. The next court hearing is October 29.

RARE MOVE by a Virginia Bishop Ahead of Election Day "Catholic Bishop Michael Burbidge says he has never before asked every priest in his diocese to do what he requested this weekend: read a letter at Mass urging Catholics to oppose two Virginia constitutional amendments on abortion and marriage." "Across 70 parishes serving more than 430,000 Catholics in Northern Virginia, worshippers heard Burbidge warn against what he called 'two dangerous ballot initiatives'—proposed constitutional amendments that Virginians will decide Nov. 3. Early voting begins Friday."
38,000 abortion pills mailed to Texas - here's how... Despite one of the strictest abortion laws in the United States, 38,000 abortion pills were mailed directly into the state of Texas last year. Watch David Bereit, founder of 40 Days for Life, speak to SPUCtv at the ARC Conference in London
Only two priests left the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) after the 1 July episcopal consecrations in Ecône. Father Franz Schmidberger, 79, a former Superior General, mentioned the number in his weekly newsletter on September 14. The Fraternity has more than 730 priests. #newsXcapyzjeeg

Toronto Archdiocese cracks down on the traditional Latin Masses. Cardinal Francis Leo of Toronto, Canada, is implementing 'Traditionis Custodes', effective next Sunday. VoxCantor.blogspot.com published a terrifying detail: One Sunday per month, the Novus Ordo must be said. At the parish St. Vincent, the old high altar will be used. At the parish Holy Family the Novus Ordo will be presided over with the back to God facing the people. And: No other sacraments are permitted according to the 1962 usage. There are four major parish churches in the Archdiocese of Toronto celebrating the Roman rite: - St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish — Scarborough - St. Patrick’s Parish — Schomberg - Holy Family Parish — Toronto - St. Vincent de Paul Parish — Toronto The Masses at Schomberg and Scarborough have existed for over 40 years. All four parishes have sufficient Novus Ordo Eucharists in various languages. The numbers are interesting, too. At these four Masses and two celebrated by the Priestly Fraternity …ច្រើន
Autumn Ember Days is coming! Today (September 14) is the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Autumn Ember Days follows this feast day. I don't know what days we fast for 2026! My guess is Sept 16, 18, 19. Some sources say Sept 23, 25, 26. It probably does not matter which week you choose. I intend to fast starting the Wednesday, September 16.
The Visitation nuns are preparing to leave Nevers, France, after more than four centuries. The remaining sisters are emptying their monastery. Furniture, crockery, tables, cupboards and other belongings are being sold in two “vide-couvent” sales, on September 12 and 19. The departure follows a steep decline in numbers. By early 2025 only four nuns remained. On March 15, 2025 two elderly sisters left. At the time, remaining Sister Marie-Odile stressed that this did not yet mean closure, joking that the priests’ violet vestments were “not those of a funeral.” Eighteen months later, the disposal of the convent’s contents signals the community’s approaching departure. The exact date on which the last sisters will leave has not been announced, nor has the future of the building. The Visitation Order was founded in Annecy in 1610 by St Francis de Sales and St Jane Frances de Chantal. Visitandines established a monastery in Nevers in 1620, making it one of the order’s earliest foundations. …ច្រើន
Leo XIV has Vatican building constructed to accumulate more and more things. In a chirograph issued today, Leo XIV has announced a new building inside Vatican City for the Apostolic Archive and Library. The vast and growing collections have exhausted existing storage capacity. Leo XIV cites the “considerable increase” in the Holy See’s bibliographical holdings and documentary output. No budget, architect, building dimensions, construction timetable or completion date has been announced. The complex will rise in the Fontana dell’Autoparco area. Space will be divided equitably between the Archive and Library, with part reserved for other Vatican City services. The decision modifies a plan approved by Francis in 2024, which envisaged new storage in the extraterritorial Lateran area. The scale is enormous: the Apostolic Archive holds more than 600 archival fonds spanning roughly 12 centuries and over 85 km of shelving. The Library preserves around 180,000 manuscripts and archival documents …ច្រើន
A New Book Seeks to Shame the Elites Who Caved to Trump nytimes.com/2026/09/14/opinion/institutions-power… Sept. 14, 2026 By Michelle Goldberg Opinion Columnist The thing I’ve found most shocking about Donald Trump’s second presidency is not the epic grift, the ICE paramilitary violence or the assaults on free speech. These abuses, while horrifying, are predictable. What has stunned me has been the capitulation of so many American elites to Trump’s vulgar authoritarianism. I didn’t expect major law firms, some that have long boasted about their progressive pro bono work, to fold with barely a fight. I didn’t expect TV networks to settle bogus lawsuits by paying the president millions, or for Ivy League schools such as Columbia to relinquish autonomy over curriculum, admissions and student discipline. In Hungary, it took years for Viktor Orban’s government to bring most of academia, the news media and other pillars of civil society to heel. Why were so many powerful people in America …ច្រើន
Even as pope, Leo XIV uses his time to help his family with everyday problems. His brother John Prevost recently bought a new computer but could not get it to work properly. He called his brother at the Vatican, who explained step by step how to solve the problem. John also revealed that Leo XIV helped him with his tax return last year. In an interview with Italian broadcaster TG5 for Leo XIV’s 71st birthday today, John Prevost spoke about his brother’s life as pope. The brothers last met in July, when John joined Leo XIV during his summer stay at Castel Gandolfo. They spent ten days together, much of it at the papal summer residence. John said they relaxed by the pool, read books, took naps, watched television and went swimming. Leo XIV also took his relatives to several monasteries and showed them where he lives in the Vatican. Asked how Leo XIV is coping with his new role, John said his brother “hasn’t collapsed.” He described him as facing the situation with humor, strength and …ច្រើន
Steve Solomon on Heirloom Seeds and Seed Saving Steve Solomon once believed the hype: open-pollinated heirlooms over hybrids will set you free. Then he ran a seed company and trialed both. Much of what is sold as “heirloom” is old, poorly maintained commercial stock. Saving seed isn't as easy as one might think. This conversation is about what backyard seed saving can actually do, what it can’t, and how a gardener can keep varieties alive without a fantasy collapse kit.
Archbishop Aldo Cavalli, 79, a former Apostolic Nuncio and the Apostolic Visitor for the parish of Medjugorje, administered Confirmation to two young Irish Travellers in the Adoration Chapel in Medjugorje, reports David Murgia on IlSegnoDiGiona. According to pictures, the women wore inappropriate short white pyjamas. Murgia says the outfits reflect festive dress customary in the Irish Traveller community. He claims to have verified the circumstances through multiple sources and that the photographs are authentic.

@Boanerges Boanerges You probably have never been in Medjugorje. The chapel is very recognizable as the "adoration chapel"; no doubt at all. The photo is authentic. If not, the parish of Medjugorje would have protested on their website and the publisher of the photo's would face a trial in court. MEDJUGORJE, ABITI PROVOCANTI DURANTE LE CRESIME? … Mgr. Cavalli is a "believer" of the synodal church and according to this "church" one should adept foreign cultural elements of other groups into the liturgy.... (in spite of the instruction of Vatican II that modesty in clothing is always required in church and this requirement was - until now - always observed in Medjugorje.
Christ’s Obedience Reverses Adam’s Disobedience Forever The triumph of the cross is celebrated, highlighting its spiritual significance as a reversal of Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Jesus’ obedience on the cross, fulfilling prophecies from Psalms and Isaiah, demonstrates God’s love and overcomes sin and death. The Eucharist, representing the fruit of the tree of life, offers us the opportunity to embrace God’s love and eternal life. Fr.
