Priest Attends Brother’s Homosexual ‘Wedding,’ Calls It ‘Amazing,’ ‘Special’
Saint of the Day, August 6, 1965 by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira August 6 is the feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this day, the first church on Mount Tabor was dedicated. Tradition has it that Mount Tabor was the “high mountain” described in the Gospel as the site of the Transfiguration. In 1457, Pope Callistus III ordered this feast to be solemnly celebrated throughout Christendom in thanksgiving for the defeat of the Turks in Belgrade, especially due to the heroic efforts of Saint John of Capistrano. The novena to Our Lady of the Assumption also begins on this day. We all know the Gospel episode in which the Lord goes up with Peter, James and John to the top of Mount Tabor. At a certain moment, He manifests Himself in all His glory with Moses on one side and Elijah, our spiritual father, on the other. The disciples are so enthralled with His glory that they express a desire to remain there. However, this external manifestation of glory gradually diminishes as the …Zêde
Cardinal Gambetti Expected to Leave St. Peter's Basilica: According to AdVaticanum, Cardinal Mauro Gambetti is expected to step down as Archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica by the end of the summer and become Archbishop of Chieti, a move seen as a demotion. The report attributes the change to Gambetti's fatigue after several demanding years, as well as controversies over security incidents at the basilica, administrative reforms, and other disputes. It also says his close association with Father Enzo Fortunato, who faced criticism over the World Children's Day initiative, weakened his position.
Three reasons: -Multiple personal leadership failures -Open war with the Chapter of Canons over power, money… and plastic chairs - The fallout from his initial trust with Fr Enzo Fortunato, whose handling of World Children’s Day left questions about wasted money, who is expected to leave anyways
Mark Lambert: Priest mocked the Tridentine Mass, bishop applauded. In this clip, Professor William A Thomas tells us about the time when he attended a presentation during discussions surrounding synodality in which the Traditional Latin Mass was criticised as "theatrical" and its faithful described as mere "spectators."
The new homosex club ‘Divine Playhouse’ in Sydney has temporarily closed after its landlord ordered it to "cease carrying on offensive trade", reports Abc.net.au on July 15. The venue opened on 8 July in a former Catholic church. Deconsecrated in 1932, the building has operated as a theatre and performance space for decades. The club's closure followed protests by around 70 Catholics who gathered outside the venue to pray the rosary and object to the mockery of Christian beliefs. Performances included transvestites dressed as nuns, alcohol labelled as 'unholy water', and parodies of the Eucharist. Following the demonstrations, the venue's landlord issued a breach notice. As a result, the operators have cancelled all upcoming events while considering legal action. #newsMyokhnosao
I believe that any building the Church has used for Mass, if the Church wants to sell it, the edifice should be destroyed so no unholy actions ever happen there.

Cardinal Pizzaballa Visited Roman Rite Monastery: On July 11–12, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, visited the Old Rite Benedictine monastery of San Benedetto in Monte in Norcia, Italy. In Norcia, he received the civic award International St. Benedict Prize for Peace. Reflecting on the war in Gaza, Cardinal Pizzaballa compared the region's future reconstruction to Norcia's recovery after the 2016 earthquake. During his visit, he joined the monks for the Roman Rite liturgy, encouraged their vocation of prayer, and toured the monastery's growing apostolates, including an educational apostolate, guesthouse, and brewery.
Mother Miriam has done a complete 180 on the SSPX: "God has established His Church, his universe, everything on obedience, everything on obedience. Children are to obey their parents, not if their parents are holy and right, in everything but sin. Wives are to submit to their husbands, not because they're holy, not because they're right, but because God has given them that position — again, in everything but sin. Religious are to obey their superiors, whether their superior is right or holier than them, or no matter what it is, they are to obey in everything. And Christ's sheep, which is us, every one of us is to obey the successor of Peter, whether we know for sure he is, whether we agree with him, whether we can point out definite heresy. If he's the Pope, then we obey in everything but sin. We don't come against him. So that's where I left it yesterday, and my heart was completely converted."
First this is merely your opinion on the matter and nothing more. I would suggest a reading of Church Doctors such as Bellarmine, and Aquinas in regards to pope pronouncements and statements that violate the established deposit of faith along with Apostolic tradition. Our allegiance is to Christ and His truths, not pope's opinions. I find it ironic that VII modernists pronounce SSPX as schismatics when in fact it is Rome that has separated itself from Catholic tradition. As pointed out in previous posts the Synodal church is certainly NOT the Catholic Church, and the pope is not Chairman of the Board yet Prevost is pushing this new concept. So no, I do not accept the Synodal model, nor religious liberty, nor ecumanism, nor the new mass even though the pope believes in those things. That does not legally separate me - or for that matter the SSPX - from the Roman Catholic Church.
Plainly if a father is starving his children and insists on obedience to the starvation his wife and children must defy him. It is a commandment of God to Peter, "Feed my Lambs, Feed my sheep"! "Confirm the brethren". This is not a request but a commandment. When he refuses to feed and refuses to confirm ... plainly he defies his master. Is it no surprise that the wife of older brothers and sisters would do all in their power to be charitable to their husband and father and mitigate the disaster that he is precipitating upon his family. When he returns to his senses will he not be grateful for their support in a period where he was so demented and out of his mind. As regard the protestant analogy. There is a categorical difference. Martin Luther wanted to make up his own religion and protested the authentic magisterium of the Catholic Church. To defend the authentic magisterium is never disobedience, it is a commendable act of charity.
Run of Saint Andrew: Amalfi's Centuries-Old Tradition. The spectacular 'Run of Saint Andrew' in Amalfi, Italy, is part of a centuries-old celebration honoring Saint Andrew, the city's patron saint. According to local tradition, on 27 June 1544, as the fleet of the Ottoman corsair Khayr al-Din Barbarossa threatened Amalfi, the townspeople prayed for Saint Andrew's intercession. A violent storm scattered the enemy ships, and the city was spared. Each year on 27 June, bearers carry the silver reliquary bust of Saint Andrew at a run up the 62 steps of Amalfi Cathedral, commemorating this traditional account of the city's deliverance.

Pope Leo XIV just appointed a German bishop who supported same-sex blessings, gender ideology, and LGBT initiatives. The same Vatican that celebrated that appointment has now imposed canonical sanctions on the Society of Saint Pius X, sanctions that require a more demanding process for lifting than the procedure for Catholics who have procured an abortion. The comparison is stark. The priorities are exposed. The inconsistencies that have left traditional Catholics reeling are now being seen. John-Henry Westen also investigates a widely circulated letter attributed to Bishop Fulton Sheen criticizing the SSPX. While the letter may be genuine, the host argues it likely does not reflect Sheen's own thinking, citing historical inaccuracies, Sheen's declining health, and the possibility that staff drafted much of his correspondence. The Vatican's treatment of the SSPX is not about discipline. It is about eliminating the Traditional Latin Mass and the communities that preserve it. The episcopal …Zêde
Another piece of the puzzle is that +Sheen - like MANY priests at the time (even my saintly confessor) - saw Vatican II as "of the Holy Spirit" and submitted to it in obedience. They explained the fallout after the 2nd Vatican Council as a "high jacking" of the "reform" by radical progressives. Hindsight has revealed that the impetus of the council itself was flawed: that the Church needed to change to speak to "the modern world."
This is not meant to be uncharitable, but Fulton Sheen should not be a yardstick to measure orthodoxy. Whatever zeal he had initially, he was full bore a lover of VCII, Paul VI and the new mass. I am sure with that pedigree he was not a friend of Abp. Lefebvre or the Society
The Roman Rite Returns to Another Monastery: Today, twelve Benedictine monks from Le Barroux officially established a new monastic community at Notre-Dame de Bellefontaine Abbey in western France. Founded in the early 12th century, the abbey was home to Trappist monks from 1816 until their departure in 2025. Fr. Raphaël, the new prior, paid tribute to the departing community: "The monastery is in very good condition. The brothers cared for it until the very end, always hoping they could remain." And: "Our liturgy will be celebrated in Latin and Gregorian chant. There will be those who like it and those who do not. Each person must discern for himself."

That's what you call a follower. Always wants to be part of the crowd and fit in. With a weak mind who can't think, for themselves and to avoid problems with them. That's a real pity. The only time you would ever see me following anyone was when I couldn't talk my friends out of something. So I would go to watch over them to try and stop any problems or protecting them. A friend of over 60 years just mentioned that to me last night in an email.
Rev. Alfons Gea, a Catalan priest and cousin of Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, has appeared to confirm the sexual nature of allegations against the 74-year-old Archbishop of Rabat, Morocco. Cardinal López, a Spanish-born Salesian, is a prominent supporter of Pope Francis’s agenda, was appointed Archbishop of Rabat in 2017 and a cardinal in 2019. On Monday, he announced that he would temporarily withdraw from public celebrations and pastoral ministry while the Vatican conducts a preliminary investigation into allegations involving at least five adult women. He has admitted to “inappropriate behaviour” but denies committing sexual assault, violence, or harassment. ElPaís.com has described the allegations as sexual abuse, rather than merely inappropriate hugs or gestures. Writing for Exaudi.org, Rev. Gea said his cousin had already begun privately accepting the possible consequences: “The image of a papabile, a figure who enjoyed such widespread affection, has come crashing down." And: …Zêde
