Bishop Defends Nude 🌈 Photo Shoot Outside Cathedral

Around 500 nude volunteers gathered outside the Cathedral of Santa Ana in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, on Sunday for a photographic installation by American artist Spencer Tunick as part of the Culture & Business Pride festival.
Participants, painted in the rainbow colors, posed in front of the cathedral on the feast of St. Anne, the city's patron saint.
The project was planned in advance as an official festival event, with backing from local tourism and government bodies. Organizers said the artwork celebrated diversity and homosexuality.
According to El País, the local bishop, Monsignor José Mazuelos, said he did not object to the nude performance in front of his cathedral: "I have no problem. When we go to the beach, we see naked bodies, don't we?" His complaint was instead about access restrictions that temporarily delayed clergy and parishioners attending the 10 a.m. Eucharist.
He also described the event as "marketing for the city," adding he supported it insofar as it promoted …കൂടുതൽ

Vatican Opens Synod Evaluation to Other Religions

The Vatican has published new guidelines today, "Recollecting: Accompanying the Preparation of the Local Church's Evaluation Assembly," for the next stage of the Synod on Synodality.
Every diocese is required to hold evaluation assemblies during the first half of 2027 to assess how the Synod's Final Document has been implemented.
Bishops will lead the evaluation, establish or reactivate synodal teams, and approve a six- to eight-page narrative report to be submitted to Rome.
They are also instructed to describe "transformations in decision-making processes, and reforms of structures" as part of their narrative report.
Interreligious synodality
Each diocese will also hold an evaluation assembly using the method of "conversation in the Spirit."
The guidelines state that dioceses should consider inviting "representatives of other Christian Churches and communities or other religions as observers."
Lay access to "leadership roles"
The document repeatedly says synodality is not a temporary …കൂടുതൽ

Don't Let Sin Defile God's Temple
The gospel reading describes Jesus weeping over Jerusalem for its lack of faith and turning the temple into a den of thieves. This reading is a call to examine ourselves, as we are the temple of the Lord, and to ensure we are not stealing from God what belongs to Him. St. Paul warns against idolatry, covetousness, and fornication, urging us to prioritize our faith and avoid distractions.
St. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians emphasizes the need for holiness, urging us to reject impurity, covetousness, gossip, and bad language. Fr. Altier stresses the importance of prayer and living a life that reflects Christ, even if it means being different from the world. He encourages us to start small in improving our prayer life and to continually strive for holiness, making our souls a worthy temple for the Lord.

150-Page Dossier at the Heart of the Rupnik Case: PerMariam.com has published a timeline of the Marko Rupnik case. One detail stands out: the Jesuits compiled a 150-page dossier documenting alleged abuse by Fr. Marko Rupnik between 1985 and 2018. According to his former Jesuit superior, the credibility of these reported events is "very high."

Timeline: Rupnik case from December 2022 until now

VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — With the Marko Rupnik case making a return to the headlines this week, after many months of silence – even years – since any substantive update, it is perhaps useful to recall the timeline of the affair. On Monday, Messa in Latino (MiL) wrote that reliable Vatican sources had informed them that Rupnik would soon be acquitted in his trial. This is the trial which apparently began in October 2025, after the Vatican re-opened an investigation into Rupnik in October 2023. Even though coverage of the report was limited enough, the Vatican obviously perceived that this represented too much of a PR threat and thus issued a denial some 48-hours later. “The review of the case is still ongoing, and the panel is examining documentation provided by the dioceses involved, the Jesuits, the parties concerned, and from the press,” the Vatican press office stated. {For full details of said update, see a report by this correspondent} In allegations which became public in late …

The Practice of the Presence of God: Fr. Gregory Pine Unpacks Brother Lawrence's Classic
"The Christian life, while often difficult, need not be overly complicated." Popular Dominican author and speaker Father Gregory Pine joins us to share a life-changing spiritual secret. Why do we turn prayer into a burdensome checklist of complex techniques? Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection, a 17th-century lay brother, discovered that the grandest truths of the faith are meant to be lived out right in the middle of our daily, mundane tasks. Father Gregory Pine, OP, steps into the studio to introduce the latest season of the acclaimed Catholic Classics podcast by Ascension, guiding modern audiences through The Practice of the Presence of God. Father Gregory explains how this unique, "readable yet faithful" translation by Professor Matthew Minard strips away dense, archaic phrasing to give 21st-century readers an accessible handle on silent prayer. New Mexican Bishop Installed: "I Come to Listen before Teaching"

After two years of diocesan vacancy, on 22 July, Bishop José Guadalupe Torres Campos, 66, was installed as the third Bishop of Ecatepec, Mexico. The diocese has 1.5 million Catholics and around 100 parishes.
A native of León, Guanajuato, Torres Campos was until then the Bishop of Ciudad Juárez and has ministered along Mexico’s northern border for the last eleven years. Many pictures on the internet show him in civilian clothes. Leo XIV has appointed a vocal advocate of immigration and a pastoral ideologue of "closeness2 and "acocompaniment".
Bishop Torres became known for his focus on migrants, including celebrating liturgical abuses in the middle of the Rio Grande border river. He was also committed to social outreach.
During the installation, Bishop Torres described the “synodal” style of ministry he will represent: "I come with the sincere desire to listen before speaking, to understand before deciding, and to love before asking. I want to be a bishop who is close to the people, a …കൂടുതൽ

Former Nicolas Sarkozy Adviser Left Estate to Traditional Catholic Community

Patrick Buisson, the former adviser to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, named the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrier as the universal beneficiary of his estate in a will drafted in March 2021, reports LeMonde.fr on July 4. The community follows the traditional Dominican rite.
Buisson died on December 26, 2023, at age 74. He bequeathed not only his personal assets but also a substantial collection of political archives, including manuscripts, notebooks, correspondence, digital files and recordings from his years at the Élysée Palace.
Archives relating to Sarkozy's presidency - including Buisson's secret recordings made between 2007 and 2012 - are at the center of an ongoing dispute. Buisson's son, Georges, has challenged the will and argues the archives are of public interest and should go to the French National Archives. There is an agreement in principle that the presidential archives will go to the National Archives, but the inheritance litigation continues.

Prayer App Leak - Another Vatican Cybersecurity Incident

The 'Click to Pray' app, which is connected to the Vatican, exposed user information for months due to a security vulnerability, reports the unknown cybersecurity publication Dark Reading.
The app, which is available on iOS and Android, is operated by the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network, a pontifical society entrusted to the Jesuits.
Dark Reading reports that the app contained an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability. This occurs when an application allows users to request information using an account or record number, but fails to verify that they are authorised to view it.
By altering these identifiers, an attacker can access other users' data because proper security checks are absent.
Names and email addresses linked to over 700,000 accounts were accessible through this flaw.
The vulnerability was reportedly discovered in January 2026 by an independent security researcher known as 'BobDaHacker'. He claimed that repeated attempts to notify the relevant parties went …കൂടുതൽ

What is a Doctor | America's Frontline Doctors

AFLDS What is a Doctor I have a question for you. A question that to most people sounds obvious. But I challenge you to take a second and try to answer it. Earnestly. What is a doctor? I should know. I practiced as an emergency room physician for over 20 years handling a spectrum of patients and a myriad of ailments. I have a degree. I wore a stethoscope. I own a white coat. Yet in a post-Covid world, it's become apparent that not everyone agrees on what it means to be a doctor.. Many have lost confidence in our medical institutions and now have serious doubts about what a doctor really is. You would be 100% correct in feeling this way. Our medical industry has objectively been compromised in more ways than one. You may not have been able to pinpoint exactly what's wrong, but the corruption can be felt and it does show itself if you're paying attention. One of the insidious trends that has been simmering in the shadows for several decades and is only now hitting mainstream awareness, is …

Sedevacantist Bishop Michael Mary Excommunicated

Bishop Hugh Gilbert of Aberdeen, Scotland, declared Fr. Michael Mary Sim, 72, Superior of the Transalpine Redemptorists, excommunicated on July 25.
After publicly embracing sedevacantism in May, he was found guilty of schism. Although the consecration as Sedevacantist bishop took place on the same day the diocesan judgment was published, Bishop Gilbert clarified that the canonical trial had been completed before the ceremony and therefore did not include the new offense in its verdict.
Bishop Gilbert stated that Fr. Michael Mary was found guilty on multiple ecclesiastical charges, the most serious being schism: "As a result, he is declared to be excommunicated, dismissed from ecclesiastical office, and prohibited from the celebration of Mass or the other sacraments."
The diocese said the Vatican's competent dicasteries had been informed throughout the process.
Bishop Gilbert also noted that the penalties could be lifted should Fr. Michael Mary sincerely repent and seek reconciliation …കൂടുതൽ

4 thoughts on abortion

1- In some way early abortion is more horrible than late abortion. To me early abortion is the same thought process as her immediately saying to her inner self "wow I want that baby dead ASAP"
.
2- Remember that in any single instance of abortion the woman has more guilt that the abortionist because she is offering her baby to be killed so without her there would be no abortion. Of course, the abortionist is a mass murderer.
3 - I can't help thinking that if the procedure for abortion was to somehow lay the baby in the parking lot and run over it with a car...they would do that.
4 - For the religious folk(me) know that repentance after abortion is very small.
