“Conservative” Auxiliary Bishop Josef Graf of Regensburg, Germany, can envision ordaining married men to the priesthood. Monsignor Graf made this remarks during a holiday in San Genesio, South Tyrol, where he also helped with the grape harvest in a local vineyard. Oddly enough, I can 'envision' waking up and discovering a Church which nurtures vocations by holding to the Faith rather than deviating from it to suit the needs of prelates who should never have been ordained in the first place.
Mature married men have worked out as well in the parishes founded by Anglicans who converted to Catholicism and, of course, historically in the Eastern Churches, so I don't see what people are worrying about. As long as they don't offer ordination to married men under the age of, say, 45 or 50, I think they'd make an excellent and much needed source of new priests.

A Catholic chaplaincy in the Diocese of St Gallen, Switzerland, is organising a 'drag' event. The performance, which will feature transvestites, will take place on Friday at the Grabenhalle venue in St. Gallen. According to the organisers, it will address "social, spiritual and cultural issues". Audience members will be invited to donate to a homosexual organisation.

The court accepted psychiatric evidence that he was psychotic at the time of the assault. He could neither understand the nature of his actions nor control them, the court ruled.
